The privacy notice tells you what to expect when Caudwell Children collections person information. It applies to information we collect about:

Visitors to the CAN – youthzone website
When someone visits www.caudwellchildrenkids.com we use a third party service, Google Analytics to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do to make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identified of those visiting our website. If we do want to collect personally identifiable information throughout website, we will explain this to you. For applications to be a CAN member or to access information, we ask for information in order to allow us to provide effective and quality services to you. We ask you to consent to receiving information from Caudwell Children about its services and activities which is clearly listed in the online forms you will be asked to complete.
Our website does not use a search engine.
Security and performance
Caudwell Children uses a third party service to help maintain the security and performance of the Caudwell Children Child Ambassador Youth Zone website.

Any email sent to us including any attachments may be monitored and used by us for reasons of security, safeguarding and for monitoring compliance. Email monitoring or blocking software may also be used. Please be awe that you have a responsibility to ensure that any email you send to is within the bounds of the law.
Making a complaint
When we receive a complaint form a person we make up a file containing the details of the complaint. This normally contains the identity of the complainant and any other individuals involved in the complaint. We only use person i9nformation we collect to process the complaint and to check on the level of service we provide.
We usually have to disclose the complainants’ identify to whoever the complaint is about. If a compliant doesn’t want information identify them to be disclosed we will try to respect that. However it may not be possible to handle a complaint on an anonymous basis.
We will keep personal information contained in complaints files in line with our retention policy. This means information will be retained for 2 years from closure. It will be retained in a secure environment and access to it will be restricted according to the ‘need to know’ principle.
People using Caudwell Children’s Services
Caudwell Children offers a range of services. We hold the details of the people who have requested the service in order to provide it. However we only use these details to provide the service to the person who has requested and for other closely related purposes. We might use information accessing services to undertake surveys to gain feedback on the quality of the service they received. You can easily ask to not receive information about Caudwell Children’s services.
Volunteer applicants and current and former volunteers
When individuals apply to volunteer at Caudwell Children we will only use the information they supply to process their application and to monitor recruitment statistics. Where we wants to disclose information to a third party, for example where we want to take up a reference of obtain a disclosure from eh Disclosure and Barring Service we will not do so without information them beforehand unless the disclosure is required by law.
Personal information about unsuccessful volunteer applications will be held for we months after the process has completed. It will then be destroyed or deleted. We retain de-personalised statistical information about applicants to help inform our volunteer activities.
Once an individual is in a volunteering role, we will compile a file relating to their volunteering. The information contained in this will be kept secure and only be used for purposes directly relevant to that person’s volunteering. We may ask for consents to receive information about the work of the Charity. Once volunteering has ceased we will retain this in accordance with our retention schedule and them delete or destroy this.
